Your fully guided journey begins with a high-speed catamaran crossing from Malta to Pozzallo, a quaint Sicilian fishing village. From there, travel in air-conditioned coaches to the heart of Catania. Enjoy a guided walking tour through this lively city known for its Baroque architecture, bustling markets, and iconic Elephant Fountain. Explore Via Etnea, Piazza del Duomo, and other historical sites, with free time for shopping, sightseeing, or enjoying local Sicilian cuisine (lunch not included).
In the afternoon, head to Mount Etna. Drive through scenic villages and lush landscapes to reach the Sylvestri Crater at 2,000 metres, where youʹll marvel at the panoramic views and volcanic terrain shaped by recent eruptions. There will be time for souvenir shopping before returning to Pozzallo for your journey back to Malta.
