The east coast of Malta is criss-crossed by imposing fortifications around the two natural harbors, Marsamxett Harbor in the north and Grand Harbor in the south. The two ports are separated by the Valletta Peninsula, which is in the center and surrounded by Sliema, Gzira, Ta Xbiex, Manoel Island, Msida, Floriana, Paola, Kalkara and the Three Cities. At the top of Valletta lies Fort St. Elmo. When navigating from one port to another, you have to leave the bay and cover a short stretch on the open sea. You will experience the impressive entrance to the Grand Harbor. To the south are the two peninsulas of Vittoriosa and Senglea, the first fortified points in this region. Due to the many rugged creeks, the small urban regions can be explored in a short time.
The tour takes place on a traditional Luzzu boat. These colorful ornate boats are still found in various bays around Malta. Especially in Marsaxlokk.
